How to harmonise the design of a furniture with the emptiness of a
Zen garden or with an architectural space? How not to interfere in the space?

How to draw the silence?

The solidified liquid aspectof Methacrylate has always caught the attention of
Jum Nakao for its transparency and resistance.

Nakao finds in this material the balance between malleability and the possibility of forming in a way that it gives the silent response desired.

Inspired by the delicate tentacles of a jellyfish, the Methacrylate is sliced and fragmented into thin strips in order to confer flexibility and lightness to the armchair. The lines of a fluctuating body in space are deconstructed and rebuilt, the result is the new signed collection: “The invisible” by Jum Nakao.

When we draw a piece of clothing we think of the spatiality of a body in space, when we draw a piece of furniture, we draw the movement of this body in space.

Every piece of furniture by Jum Nakao is an example of this movement.
